Current position: I am a postgraduate student pursing a master’s degree of Medicine in Pediatrics and Child health.

Research area: I aim to describe the magnitude and factors associated with poor health related quality of life among adolescents living with HIV.

Award: I am privileged to be one of the beneficiaries of the UNIVERSAL Student Research capacity building grant, awarded through Baylor college of Medicine Children’s foundation-Uganda.

I am also grateful to have one of my supervisors being Dr. Patricia Nahirya Ntege from Baylor college of medicine Children’s Foundation. I look forward to the smooth running of my research project with all the assistance from Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation.
I am ready to participate in other research trainings and programs at this center of excellence.

Area of interest: I am interested in improving quality of life among adolescents living with HIV

Study impact: I expect my study results to act as a baseline for further research, improve knowledge on how HIV affects quality of life of adolescents, help hospital managements formulate local guiding protocols that are adolescent centered with prioritization of adolescent services, help public health planners to establish community based adolescent social support programs and guide ministry of health to form policies aimed at reducing the identified risk factors of poor health related quality of life among these adolescents hence improving clinical outcome and quality of life.
